White French Tip Nail Design ~ With Butterfly Nail Art

Hey everyone! Hope you are enjoying your day so far. I have a simple and easy to do white french tip nail design for you all. A simple french manicure can add a sophisticated look to your personality. Normally when I don’t do heavy nail art, I prefer to wear a pretty french manicure. Gosh, French Manicures makes nails look so classy. In this Tutorial, I will show you how to do your own french manicure with no french manicure tip guides. I added kiss nail art stickers on the Accent Nail. Added a touch of red by lining the manicure with a red nail art liner polish. It goes perfectly with the butterfly and flower sticker.

Items and Tools I Used

  • Base Coat Polish
  • Sheer Pink Polish – Sally Hansen nail polish diamond strength Brilliant Blush
  • Kiss Nail Art Stickers
  • Red Nail Art Liner – Sinful Colors Nail Art My Day
  • Sheer Glitter Polish – Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer, 01 Pearl-Plexed Sheer
  • White Acrylic Paint
  • Nail Art Liner Brush
  • Paint brush to fill the tips, bought it from Walmart
  • A Tweezer
  • Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Start by applying base coat on all the nails and let it dry. Base coat protects your natural nails from chemicals present in polishes and prevents staining. It also adds to the staying power of your manicure. Paint all the nails with two layers of Sally Hansen nail polish diamond strength Brilliant Blush.

As we will be doing the traditional french manicure, you got to have the perfect french manicure nail polish, a sheer pink color polish. I feel Sally Hansen nail polish diamond strength Brilliant Blush the best pink base polish for french manicure. It has the perfect coverage and shine and makes the nails look pretty.

Now on “how to do french manicure”, the easy way is to outline the smile line with white polish or paint. Then fill the tips. I prefer to use acrylic paint, but you can use a white polish and a white Nail Art liner to get a clean smile line. If you are looking for more easy way, then I would suggest french manicure tip guides.

Let’s go ahead with the nail design. Layer a thin coat of Milani Pearl-Plexed Sheer polish on the white tips. It’s a lovely sheer pearl glitter polish. If you don’t have it in your collection, just add your favorite glitter polish. You can totally skip the glitter part if you like.

Let your nails dry completely. Peel of the sticker and place it on the accent nail tip using a tweezers. Press it well with your finger. Outline the french manicure with a red nail art liner on rest of the nails. Seal the whole design with Top Coat and you are done!

    Hi Demi!

This is a beautiful website with lots of useful tutorials and how-tos. I have spent hundreds and thousands of dollars at the nail salon and with your website, I might be able to do this myself at home and save myself so much money. Thank you for all your help. Is it better to have long natural nails or can you glue on tips and still get great designs? Do you have any tutorials on doing your own toenails too?

    1. Hi Stephanie, Thanks for your lovely words. You can use both artificial or the natural nail. Both has its pros and cons. I have never used artificial nails. With original nails you need to do lot of maintenance. Having said that, I love to grow my nails and I always have my natural nails.

  2. I shared your website on my Facebook. 🙂

I would love to do something like whatyou have done with your nails, but worry the since I am right handed I won’t get the right hand to look as lice. How to dour manage to do it?

    1. I have same problem. I generally paint my left hand only. But I have been practicing and I am becoming better.

  6. Hi Demi,

I just found your website today, but I looked around a bit and love your use of videos. It’s so much better than just pictures as it’s helpful to follow along with the project. I enjoyed this design best I think. It’s a classy look, but not really the traditional french manicure of just white and pink… you jazzed it up nicely! I look forward to seeing new nail designs in the future.
