Violet Flower Nail Art ~ Easy Flower Nail Design

Hey everyone! How is your day going so far! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I enjoyed a lovely coastal drive on CA1 highway. If you live in California, you might have enjoyed the the coastal scenery along the CA1 highway. If you haven’t visited yet, then you should. It’s lovely! Let’s get to the Nail art of this day. I did this pretty light Violet Flower Nail Art some days back. This is surely one of easy to make flower nail designs. All I did is just placed some dots in arranged manner and then its done. I made some green leaves to go with the flower. Hope you all will like it!

Items and Tools I Used

  • Base Coat Nail Polish
  • Pink Nail Polish – Maybelline Color Show Cinderella Pink
  • Green Nail Polish – Wet n Wild Caribbean Frost
  • Green Glitter Nail Polish – Spoiled Show Me The Money
  • Acrylic Paint – Green, Violet, White and Yellow
  • Nail Art Liner Brush and Detail Brush
  • Top Coat Polish

How I did the Nail Design

Start by applying base coat on your nails for better nail health and let it dry. Cover the tip with Maybelline Color Show Cinderella Pink. This is pretty rose gold polish. It looks neutral and royal at the same time. You should always let one coat of polish dry before layering it with another.

Make a diagonal french manicure by applying the green polish (Wet n Wild Caribbean Frost) across your nail tip over the rose gold polish. Cover the green polish with a thin coat of Spoiled Show Me The Money. Such a nice green glitter polish it is.

With green acrylic paint on a liner brush and make slight curvy lines to represent branches. Liner brush make the job easier when it comes to draw lines. Just make sure you don’t have too much paint on the brush and gently drag the brush to create lines. Then make tiny leaves using the same liner brush. Gently tap the tip of the brush to make leaves.

Now to make cute flowers, Mix white acrylic paint with violet paint to lighten the color and make small dots, arranging it in round shape using your Nail Art Detail Brush. Make a small yellow dot in center of the flowers. Once it is dry, make a tiny white dot over the yellow one and place some random yellow dots on the rose gold tip.

Make the violet paint more lighter and highlight the flowers. When the paint is dry and well set, lock the whole design with generous amount of Top Coat.

  1. Hello,
such a pretty site I must say. 🙂 Thanks for showing how you did the Violet Flower art, it’s beautiful. I am glad I came to your site. I have a problem with my nails breaking all the time. Can you suggest something that can strengthen my nails so they stop breaking? They get to a very nice length and the break very easily, they seem brittle…

    1. Hi Nicole..Thank you for visiting my site. I have an article on “Tips for Strong and Healthy Nails“, check it out and I’m sure it will help you get strong nails!

  2. hi Demi!
lucky you to be living in California! That drive must have been awesome! This seems like a pretty easy design. But still how do you come up with the designs? I would have never thought to put the green over the rose gold tip in a diagonal line! I mean that’s pretty creative. Do you get inspiration from somewhere?

    1. Thanks Emily. I love to take inspiration from the objects around me. I have a scarf with this design (though it is not exactly same). Also I love to experiment with colors. Since I try different combination of color, I do fail many times. But that’s how I learn. 🙂

  3. My daughter is 10 and she loves “bedazzling” her fingernails. Love the tutorial!

    1. Thanks Liz for liking. Yes, this is pretty easy nail art. Give it a try. I generally use wet n wild top coat. This is cheap and pretty good.
