dark red nail design

Hey everyone! Hope you are doing good. I’m excited to show you all this stunning Nail Design I did using a dark red nail polish and gold lace sticker. It will surely look good for special occasions. Vampy Red and gold combination is highly contrast and complement each other perfectly. I got the gold lace stickers from eBay and these stuff are unbelievably cheap. Free shipping was an added bonus too!

Items and Tools I used

  • Base Coat Nail Polish, OPI  Natural Nail Base Coat
  • Dark Red Nail Polish,The Body Shop Crimson Kiss
  • Gold Lace Nail Art Sticker
  • Tweezer to apply the sticker
  • Top Coat Nail Polish, Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Start by applying base coat on your nails to prevent staining and long lasting manicure. As we are working with dark color nail polish, base coat is a must. After the base coat is dry, apply two coats of any dark red polish of your choice. I used Crimson Kiss by The Body Shop, this has beautiful creme finish!

Before applying the sticker, make sure the polish is completely dry. Peel the sticker and cut the desired size to fit your nails. Apply them using a pair of tweezer. Seal the whole design with Top Coat!

  1. Thank you for sharing the information. Your explanation made it easier than trying to do it myself. I never realized the importance of using a base coat for protecting the natural nail from staining. Will using more than one layer of the top coat allow the manicure to last longer?

    • Hi Della, Thank you for stopping by my site. I feel more than one layer of top coat will make your manicure last longer. However layering many layers of top coat make a thick surface and may result on chipping. I guess two layers of top coat would be good enough.
