Spring Flower Nail Design ~ Fun Colorful Floral Nails

Hey everyone. Hope your day is going great so far. If you have been following my blog regularly, you may know I love flower nail designs. Here I have yet another spring flower nail designs for you. It’s really easy to learn Nail Designs with step by step guide. I did various colorful flowers on a pearl white background. The satin white base color gives the flowers a sudden pop. You can wear this nail design as an Accent Design too by painting some nails just with the pearl white polish and making the flower design on the Accent Nail. I couldn’t help myself but painted all the nails with the flower design.

Items and Tools I Used

  • Base Coat Nail Polish
  • Pearl White Nail Polish – Maybelline Color Show Moon Beam
  • Acrylic Paint – Turquoise Blue, White, Magenta and Yellow
  • Nail Art Rhinestones – Blue, Violet(2mm size) and Pink(1.5mm size)
  • Nail Art Detail Brush
  • Nail Art Small Dotting Tool to apply Rhinestones
  • Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Always start by applying base coat nail polish on your nails. Base coat protects the natural shine of your nails and help the manicure to stay longer. Let the base coat dry and then paint all the nails with pearl white polish. I used Maybelline Color Show Moon Beam as my base color. this is a sheer pearl polish, so I layered multiple coats to make it opaque. You can use any pearl color polish.

Let the polish dry completely before doing the flower design on nails. I did multiple colors and different size of flowers using acrylic paint. I didn’t have specific colors, so I mixed my paints to get the desired color. This is the best thing about using acrylic paint. You can customize the colors as you desire.

First we will do blue flowers, here I mixed Turquoise Blue and White paint to get light blue color. With light blue paint on the detail brush make flower near the cuticle of your nails. Use dabbing motion while making flower petals, placing them in somewhat round shape.

Now take the magenta acrylic paint on the same detail brush and make a small flower near to the blue flower. Draw small lines by pressing the very tip of the brush to make this flower. With the same color and technique make a bigger flower over the blue one. But as we are talking of bigger size, press down the brush all the way of its length to form bigger petals. Now let’s give the design some more vibrant and contrast effect buy making tiny yellow flowers.  Pick some yellow paint on the detail brush and make tiny dots very near to each other.

Let the paints dry before doing any further decoration. Mix more of white with blue to get even lighter blue and spread it in the center of the blue flower. Customize the magenta paint in the same manner by using white paint and highlight the center of the magenta flower. For the yellow flowers, make a very tiny dot using magenta paint on the tip of your detail brush. You will notice, that tiny dot made the yellow flower complete.

Add some top coat over the flowers and place rhinestones. I used blue rhinestones on blue flower, violet on the magenta flower and pink over the small magenta flower. let the accessories settle on your nails for some time. Seal the whole design with Top Coat.Phew!.. That seems a bit of work but don’t you think it’s all worth it. How pretty this flower design looks!
