Blue Glitter Gradient Nails

Hey everyone! How are you doing! I was trying the L’Oreal nail polish, “Not a cloud in sight” few days back and I realized I have a blue glitter polish too which is perfect for a glitter gradient nail design. The glitter shade is also from Loreal. Pop the Bubbles from the Gold dust collection! It’s a simple and chick design for summer!

Items and Tools I Used

  • Base Coat Nail Polish
  • Blue Nail Polish – Not a cloud in sight
  • Blue Glitter Nail Polish – Pop the Bubbles from Loreal Gold dust collection
  • Makeup Sponge
  • Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Start by applying base coat on all your nails for a long lasting manicure and let it dry. Apply two coats of a medium blue color nail polish on all the nails. I used Not a cloud in sight from Loreal, a very nice shade for spring and summer. Before creating the gradient effect, make sure the nails are fully dry.

Take a make up sponge and apply the blue glitter shade on to it. Press onto the nail tips to transfer the glitter and to create a fading effect. I did the glitter ombre on two of my fingernails and rest of the nails, I covered them full with the glitter polish. Top it with a shiny clear polish to finish the design.

You can choose to skip the top coat for this particular design as the glitter shade “Pop the Bubbles” is a matte textured polish and adding top coat will take away the matte/textured effect. I wanted the design to be shiny. Hence, I used a top coat.

  1. There is no need for similar (almost identical) regular and glitter nail polish. The one with glitters is very nice and I would use it on white or black base.
