How I did the Nail Design
Start by applying base coat on your nails for a long lasting manicure and to protect your natural nails. Base coat prevents staining and it is highly important to use a base coat when you work with dark nail polishes. Let your nails dry completely before moving forward with the nail design.
Decide on which fingernails you want to do the accent design and paint them with black nail polish. Apply red polish on rest of the nails. Again wait for the polish to dry. We’ll be doing black french manicure on red nails. Apply french manicure guide stickers on the red nail tips for a clean manicure line. Cover the tip with black nail polish and remove the stickers while the polish is still wet. This way you will get a perfect smile line. Let’s move onto the accent nail design while the french manicure gets dry.
Dip your dotting tool in red polish and make three big dots placing them in triangular shape (Use the bigger head of your dotting tool). I did two dotted flowers, one near the cuticle and one more on the nail tip. Make sure the dots are dry. Now take some silver nail polish on smaller head of your dotting tool and out line the dots.
Cover all the nails with top coat and wait for the polish to dry. Then apply a layer of matte top coat on all the nails. I used Wet n Wild matte top coat and as you can see in the image It’s doesn’t give total matte effect. It’s more like a toned down satin finish. Add some nail glue where the big dots meet and insert a clear crystal rhinestone. Do the same dotted design on the other accent nail.
Now back to the french tip nails! Take some nail glue on a detail brush and apply precisely on the french manicure line. Dip the smaller head of your dotting tool into some clear polish and pick silver beads and apply on the french manicure line. Do the same on all the other french tip nails. We’re done with the design!
