Hey everyone! How are you doing! Hope you like this beautiful Purple Gradient nails that I did recently. I used a makeup sponge to do this Ombre/Gradient which I feel is the easiest way to create such effect. Keep reading to know how I did this nail design!
Items and Tools I Used
- Base Coat Polish
- Lilac Nail Polish – Colorbar Nail Polish in the Shade Sweet Lilac
- L’oreal Nail Polish ~ Too Dimensional
- Purple Nail Polish – Nars Purple Rain
- Makeup Sponge
- Liquid Peel off Tape
- Top Coat
How I did the Nail Design
Start by applying a good base coat on your nails and let it dry. Cover the skin around your nails with liquid latex/peel off base coat and give it some time to dry. This will help in easy clean up and prevent getting polish on the skin. Apply light purple/lilac polish on all the nails as the base color and then seal it with a layer of top coat. You can also use white polish as a base color. In this design I used a lilac polish as it not very bright and certainly makes the purple pop.
Now apply the lilac shade, purple and purple glitter polish on a makeup sponge and gently press it onto your nails. Make sure the light color is placed towards the bottom of your nail. Repeat the process until you get desired coverage. I did three layers of sponging on my nails. Peel off the liquid latex using a tweezer and clean up any excess polish. Seal the whole design with Top Coat and you’re done!
