Nail Art With Water Decals ~ Girl With Red Umbrella!

cool easy nail designs

Hey everyone! How are you doing. I have a hot Nail Art Design to share with you today. It has such a sexy feel to it. I didn’t have to do much to get this design done because I used water decals. It was done in minutes. I’m not sure what occasion would be best suitable for this design but I love it.

Items and Tools I Used

  • Base Coat Nail Polish
  • Light Pink Nail Polish – Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis A L’Huile, Dimanche Après Midi
  • Shimmery pearl polish ~ Wet n Wild Break the Ice
  • Red Nail Polish -Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, Rhapsody Red
  • Nail Art Water Decals
  • A pair of Scissors
  • Tweezer
  • Some water in a small bowl
  • Top Coat
  • Polish Remover and a Flat Brush for clean up

How I did the Nail Art

Apply a base coat polish on all the nails to increase the longevity of your manicure. Base coat also prevents yellowness and staining! Let the base coat dry, then apply a red polish on your pinky nail and pink nail polish on rest of the nails. Layer the pink polish with a single coat of Wet n Wild, Break the Ice. It creates a beautiful iridescent finish.  Wait for the nails to dry completely.

Get a bowl of water. You don’t need much water, just enough to dip the decals. Cut out the design you want to apply on your nails using a scissor.  Peel the protective seal and put it in the water. Let it soak for 10-20 seconds. Now you will be able to slide the decal easily. Grab the decal with a tweezer and place it on your nails.

Gently blot the excess water with a tissue paper.  Use the scissor to cut the extra decals if its longer than your nail. Seal the whole design with Top Coat. Clean up and remove the excess around your cuticle using polish remover and a flat brush.

  1. Omg, this is so pretty. I have tried this before and ended up with a mess. I got nail polish all over on skin. Do you apply something on the skin near the fingernails to keep the skin clean? And do you have to buy a specific nail polish brand to make this work?

  4. This is so much more helpful than those quick videos that constantly show up on social media. A list of supplies, step by step directions, and plenty of pictures for those who need visuals. Love this. I’m a big fan of having most of the nails be simple with just a few decals and a splash of color. Quite a statement!
