- Matte Top Coat
How I did the Nail Design
Before starting with the nail design, we got to make the nail polish sticker. Get a clear plastic bag and apply multiple layers of Covergirl Nail Polish – Rough Red and Loreal Statement Piece separately. Leave it overnight to dry. It is very important that the polish should be completely dry. Otherwise you won’t be able to separate the sticker/decal from the plastic cover.
Now on to the nail design, prep your nails by applying base coat and let your nails dry. Paint all the nails with a pearl nail polish. I used Essence Colour & Go, Sparkling Water Lily polish, It’s such a pretty shade, sheer but buildable. CLICK HERE to see swatches and review of this polish.
Carefully peel the nail polish sticker from the Ziploc bag using a tweezer. Cut thin stripes of the decal/sticker using a pair of scissors. The red stripes should be twice in width as the gold ones. Add some top coat on your nails and apply the red polish decal using the tweezer. Apply some more top coat over the red stripe and place the gold polish sticker. Let everything dry, then seal it with a top coat. I added a matte top coat over it. Then went over the gold with the shiny top coat.
