Hi everyone, how are you all doing! I have this lovely Lace Nail Design Tutorial for you all. I have added some polka dots to this Blue and Gold Nail Art to make it more pretty. Hope you will like it.

Lace Nail Design Tutorial

Items and Tools I used

  • Base Coat
  • Champagne Gold Nail Polish
  • Blue Acrylic Paint
  • Light Brown Acrylic Paint
  • Nail Art Liner Brush
  • Nail Art Detail Brush
  • Dotting Tool
  • Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Start by applying base coat on your nails. Let it dry and paint the nails with the golden nail polish. I used Nude Shimmer by Street Wear. It’s beautiful shimmery gold polish. Always make sure each layer of polish or each step of nail art is dry before moving forward.

Take blue paint on the liner brush and draw two parallel lines across the nails. Fill the space with the same blue acrylic paint. Now let’s make beautiful Swan lace design over the blue line.

Using the detail brush and light brown acrylic paint, make COMA Shapes facing each other. Make a small dot between the comas and join the ends. place some dots in between the coma shapes.

Make Blue Polka dots using the bigger end of your dotting tool. Then make a small brown dot in the center of blue one with the smaller end of dotting tool. I left the Accent nail with the lace design. If you like you can make dots on all the nails. Seal the whole design with Top Coat.

  1. Hi Demi!
The colours and design remind me of figure skating costume. 😀
I like the nail design, but I’m not even good at basic nail polish.
Do you have any advice for beginners?

    • Sylvia, you gave me a very nice topic for my next article 🙂 I will write some tips on starting nail art at home soon. For now, my 2 cent advice will be to just give it a start, with a little practice, you surely be amazed how it comes out.
And thanks for liking my design.

  2. Demi, this is the perfect site for me to share with my granddaughter. We look for fun things to do together and nail art would be great. She received lots of fun and funky nail stuff for Christmas and has been aching to try it out. Thanks for the wonderful tutorials.

    • Thanks Roni. I hope you and your grand daughter will enjoy these nail arts. I do update my site very regularly, hence do come back for more designs.

  3. Thank you my wife and daughter are going to love your site!

  4. Hi Demi, I really like this nail design! I don’t know if it reminds me of lace but I like it. I don’t know maybe something retro… I’m really a gold girl, but you got me here. The more I look the more I like. Well done!!!
