Julie G Nail Polish Swatches ~ Golden Sunset

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great day! Previously I have shared couple of Julie G nail polishes and now I’m just getting obsessed with Julie G polishes. I picked Golden Sunset, another shade from Julie G and what a stunning color it is! A lovely warm gold polish with sunset color glitters and it gives beautiful multi chrome effect. Even though it’s full of shimmers, I think it is beautiful color for summer. I can never have enough of glitter polishes and polishes like this inspire me to have more and more. Let’s get to the swatches of this mesmerizing polish. The multi chrome effect is not much visible in the pictures but it looks stunning to bare eyes.

    • Pigmentation: Golden Sunset is a nicely pigmented polish but it looks best with couple of coats. I have three coats on my nails. you can layer it over any other polish to add some effect. This polish color will look pretty for accent nail. If you are more of a neutral color person, then just wear it on your accent nail and it will look gorgeous!
    • Formula: With good pigmentation, it has a nice formula which helps in proper application. Golden Sunset has moderate consistency and applies evenly on nails.
    • Finish: Gorgeous shimmery multi chrome finish! I love how pink and orange shimmers blended so well with the golden base. The polish bottle I got, it was labeled as “For full effect, Do not apply top coat”. I thought it will be a textured nail polish but it’s not.
    • Staying power: It stayed pretty on my nails for four days and started to wear off. I’m not very much impressed with it’s staying power. I went on with an extra layer over the old polish to keep this pretty polish on my nails for couple of days more.
    • Where to buy: Julie G Nail Polishes retail for $3.99 at Riteaid. You can buy it at Jessiโ€™s Girl official Website too.

  5. hi Demi!
Love this color! So summery! And the glitter and the shimmer, my favorite! Just love it! I am a glitter fan for sure. I can certainly see this as an accent nail color. I am not impressed with the staying power either though. And I wonder why it said not to apply a top coat. You would think it would make it shinier no? Did you apply a top coat?

    • Hi Emily..Thank you for liking it. I had some extra expectations, when I saw the label of Do not apply Top Coat. Still it’s very pretty. I did not use a top coat after all as it looked beautiful on it’s own!
