How to Fix And Restore Dried Nail Polish!

Recently my sister picked a polish bottle from the shelf and told me” It’s fully dried/expired, why don’t you get rid of it!” My immediate response was noway, nail polish never expires! You have some polishes sitting somewhere that are thick, sticky and dried and you somehow want to make it work, there is a simple way to restore it. So just grab a polish you want to bring back to life and I will help you fix it.

First of all, you should clean the neck of the polish bottle using a cotton pad with some acetone to get rid of the dried chunks. The magic potion in this situation is POLISH THINNER. Yes, There’s a special stuff to bring those lovelies back to life. Add two to three drops of polish thinner to your dried polish bottles and give it a good shake to mix it well. I use one more thing to make it even better. I got these small metal balls online. Having one of these inside your polish bottle makes the mixing job really easy and there you have it, good as new!

Some suggest to add polish remover to thin out dried polish, but, it’s not a good idea. The remover will surely thin it out but, it will ruin the formula. Your polish will be diluted and will loose it’s quality. Where as the polish thinner simply thins out the consistency while keeping the formula intact. Polish Thinners also prevents nail polish from getting thick. If you notice any polish getting thick and sticky, simply add a drop of polish thinner. If a polish create bubbles after application, couple of drops of polish thinner can fix it. Now you know what to do to revive dried polish!
