- Nail Art Fine Detail Brush
- Nail Art Decoration – Pearls and Gold Studs
- Small Dotting Tool to apply the accessories
- Top Coat
How I did the Nail Design
Start by applying base coat on all your nails for a long lasting manicure. It will also prevent yellowness on nails. I used a dark color for the background. Hence, more reasons to apply a base coat to avoid staining. When your nails are dry, apply a shimmery dark brown nail polish.
I used Maybelline Color Show Wine and Dined for the background. It’s a beautiful dark brown filled with fine shimmers. If you are looking for a nail polish to wear this fall, I would recommend you try it out. Read my full review and swatches of Wine and Dined. Before doing any art work, let the nails dry completely.
Take some white acrylic paint on your fine detail brush, make some branches and white leaves. Draw a curvy line to imitate branch. Gently press the brush tip to make leaves. That’s the fun of nail art. It looks complex but it is not in reality. With right tools and proper application, It’s very easy to create this design. Use the very tip of your brush to out line the leaves with dot and drag motion. Do not press it hard. We want a smooth and thin line to create subtle lace effect around the leaves. These leafs need not be placed uniformly across the nails. Just play with it and paint to reflect your imagination.
After the paint is dry, Make some red flowers using the same brush and red acrylic paint. To make flower petals, make two small dots near each other and drag down gently. You have your pretty flower petal ready. Remember, it doesn’t need to be perfect. If you notice real flowers, not all the petals same and uniform. Place the flowers over the white leaves in such a way that it will appear the leaves peeking through the flowers.
Mix little black with white paint to create gray, and spread it in the center of the flowers. Let the paint dry, then Seal the design with top coat. When the top coat is still wet, add pearls and gold studs to decorate it. By the time top coat is dry, the pearls and stud decoration will be nicely secured. Add one more layer of top coat to seal the whole design.
