Elegant Ombre Glitter Nails ~ Sponge Technique Nail Design

easy holiday nail designs

Hey everyone! How are you doing! I got this Elegant Ombre Glitter Nails to show you all. Great for special events or a casual night out. Took very less time to get this nail design done. You know the situation, when you don’t have time to go to a nail salon but you gotta look pretty for an event. I was in such a situation recently and this Design was the savior. Not that I go to nail salon that often(Mostly I do my own nails ). Sometimes, I prefer to just sit back and relax while getting my nails done.

Item and Tools I Used

  • Base Coat
  • Black Nail Polish ~ SinfulColors Professional Nail Color, Black On Black
  • Born Pretty Store Chameleon multi-chrome effect holo nail polish
  • Gold Glitter polish ~ Colorbar Art-effect in the shade Gold Tease
  • Glitter Top Coat ~ Yves Rocher Nail Polish, Glittery Gold
  • Piece of Sponge
  • Shiny Clear Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Prep your nails by applying a good quality base coat. This single step will fill in the ridges and keep your manicure longer. It also prevents staining and yellowness. Let the nails dry completely and apply a black nail polish on all the nails. Again after the nails are dry, add a layer of multi-chrome Chameleon holo polish.

A black base is necessary for the chameleon polish to show it’s effort. Hence, I used a black nail polish. It gives multi-chrome effect from different angels. If you don’t have a chameleon polish, you can use any dark shade as the base color for the ombre design. Take a small amount of gold glitter nail polish on a sponge, tap it on the nail tips. Start at the very tip of your nails and gradually fade the glitter to the middle of your nail. Repeat the process till you get desired opacity.

Add a layer of gold glitter top coat. It creates the ultimate ombre effect in an instant. Seal the whole design with a shiny top coat and you are done!
