  • Acrylic Paint – Pearl Pink, Dark Red, Orangey Red, Black and White
  • Nail Art Detail Brush

  • Red Rhinestones 2mm size
  • Small Dotting Tool to apply Rhinestones.
  • Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Now let’s get in to the details of this Vintage Floral Nail Design. As always, start by applying base coat on your nails and let it dry. Paint your nails with the pearl white nail polish. You may need to apply multiple layers to get the desired color. Again Let your nails dry fully for further art work.

Make black stripes using acrylic paint on the liner brush. Always be sure that one step of nail art is dry before moving onto the next. Then apply the gold nail polish on your nail tips. It doesn’t need to be clean edge as we will be covering it with flower design.

Mix the pearl pink and orangey red paint and make some uneven shapes on the golden tips using your nail art detail brush. Again don’t concentrate much on getting even shapes. The more uneven the shapes, the more natural the design will look.

Now make the same color mix bit lighter by adding a tiny bit of white paint and fill the middle of the dot like shapes leaving a border.Using the dark red paint, make a small dot in the center of the flowers. Adding this dark red dot to the shapes really brings out the flower look. Add some clear polish near the cuticle and place red rhinestone.

Give it some time for the paint to dry and then seal the whole design with Top Coat. You are all ready with the Vintage Floral Nail Design.

  1. What other color schemes would work well for this nail pattern?

    1. Hi Sarah..You can choose any light color for the base and soft metallic color for the tip. For flower any deep color will look good but try using colors from the same color family. Here I chose Red and Pink. I guess Purple and soft blue combination flowers will look good too!

  2. hi Demi
how Spring is this look! I do like the flower design with the red rhinestone accent. Looks good together! i just got my nails done and it is so nice to have freshly done nails! Puts me in a good mood for sure!

  3. That is awesome! I had no idea that you could actually design and paint your nails like that. I am sure they are the acrylic kind that you glue on, but still, you have just opened the door to a new niche – designer nails! This could go viral, if it hasn’t already. I like the idea, no, love the idea. I think you are onto something big. Thank you for sharing.
