Hey everyone! How are you all doing! Today I have a fun easy DIY Nail Art For Christmas. I paired red and pearl white color for this nail design. Super easy to do for everyone, just adding some polka dots and star glitters. I created the gradient base using a Q-Tip. Yeah, you don’t need fancy nail art tools to do this nail design. Like my many other designs, I used acrylic paint in this nail art too. Let’s get to this Red and White Nail Design tutorial.
Items and Tools I Used
- Base Coat Nail Polish
- Pearl White Nail Polish – Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel, Moon Beam
- Acrylic Paint – Red and White
- Red and White color Star Glitter
- Small Dotting Tool
- Top Coat
How I did the Nail Design
Start by applying base coat on your nails and let it dry. Base coat protects natural nails from staining and keeps the manicure longer. Then paint all the nails with a pearl white nail polish and let the nails dry before moving on. I used Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel in the shade Moon Beam. It is quiet sheer, so I had to apply many coats to get the opacity.
To create the red gradient effect, I used red acrylic paint and a Q Tip. Take little red paint on the Q Tip and gently pat on the bottom half of your nail to create a gradient effect. After the paint dries, apply a thin layer or top coat and add star glitters, red glitters over the white base and a white one over the red base.
Make small polka dots on the red gradient using your small dotting tool and white acrylic paint. After the paint dries, seal the whole design with top coat and you’re done with this cool and fun Christmas Nails.
