Black Glitter Nail Art Accent Design ~ With Shimmery Olive Green Polish and Gold Glitter Flakies

black gold glitter nail designsblack Glitter Nail design

Hey everyone! How are you doing! While decluttering my stash, I realized It’s been long time I didn’t use one of my favorite zoya polishes, Aggie! A lovely Olive green polish with stunning shimmers! I got this idea of doing a nail art pairing it with black nail polish. Again I thought using just plain polish, the design will look bit flat. So I used this black glitter powder I got from Born Pretty Store. I also used a Flakie gold glitter polish over the green polish. Keep reading to know how I did this nail design.

Items and Tools I Used

  • Base Coat Nail Polish
  • Olive Gold Polish ~ Zoya Nail polish in the shade Aggie
  • Loreal Gold Flecks Glitter Polish
  • Black Nail Polish – Maybelline Color Show Onyx Rush
  • Nail Art Glitter Powder From Born Pretty Store
  • Metal Cuticle Pusher to apply glitter
  • Top Coat

How I did the Nail Design

Apply a good base coat to maintain healthy nails and to keep the manicure longer. Base Coat also prevents staining.Paint the accent nail with a black polish and rest of the nails with a shimmery olive green polish. I chose a olive green polish to go with the black glitter. You can use any color polish of your choice.

Let the nails dry completely before moving forward with the design.Place a piece of tissue paper under your hand to avoid the glitter mess. Add a layer of clear polish over the black polish and apply black glitter powder. There are many ways to apply glitter power. You can use a fan brush to sprinkle the glitter or you can simply dip your nail in the glitter jar. I applied it using a metal cuticle pusher.

The opposite side of a metallic cuticle pusher looks like a small narrow spoon. It is easy to pick glitter and pour it on the nails to get a full concentrated glitter application. Dust off the excess using a makeup brush or fan brush. Apply a Flakie Gold glitter polish over the green polish. Seal the whole design with top coat.

I’m very thankful to Born Pretty Store for sending me these glitters. I was little doubtful if the glitters will be shiny enough being so dark in color, but it’s stunning. I love the twinkling effect it gives. It looks gorgeous! If you want to try, get it online at Born Pretty Store. Use the Code DEMIG10 to get 10% off , entire store. I used the Ultra-thin Nail Glitter Powder Laser Sequins in the color – 278.
